Zhang presents to Contrarian ag series

Dr. Wendong Zhang, Kevini KimleWendong Zhang, assistant professor, presented to an event organized by the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative and partners, Contrarian Agriculture Series  on August 5. The title of his presentation was China’s Shifting Food Consumption: Lessons from African Swine Fever and Chilean Cherries.  A global audience of more than 900 farmers, agricultural business professionals, agricultural entrepreneurs and agricultural investors are registered for the series of six weekly events that feature two speakers presenting their contrarian agricultural ideas.

“China is such an important part of the global agricultural demand picture,” commented Kevin Kimle, Director of the Agricultural Entrepreneurship Initiative.  "Dr. Zhang’s perspective on China and his ability to challenge how the audience thinks about opportunities in the future was a very valuable contribution to the event."
