Will the Fall of ‘Roe’ Change the College-Going Landscape?

Professor John Winters was interviewed by the Chronicle of Higher Education for the article "Will the Fall of ‘Roe’ Change the College-Going Landscape?", which focuses on how the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey could affect how, when, and where students attend college.

Winters told the Chronicle that large public universities in the South that attract out-of-state students tend to get students from nearby states, which will most likely have similar abortion laws. “For UT-Austin, in particular, if some people decide to attend elsewhere, the university will just move down their waiting list and bring in as many students as they want,” he said.
