Three PhD students win CARD award

The CARD Dissertation Award committee, consisting of CARD faculty affiliates, has decided that the three dissertations submitted this year were equally worthy of the sixth annual CARD Award for Best PhD Dissertation in Agricultural, Environmental, and Energy Economics Policy.

"The awards committee reviewed the submissions for the CARD dissertation award, finding each to be high-quality, worthwhile research. Given the variety of topics covered and connections to the CARD mission, the individual rankings of the submissions were different. Thus, the committee did not arrive at one consensus winner, but did agree that all of the three are deserving of the award.”

Below are the award winners and their dissertations/committees.  Their names will be inscribed on the awards plaque in Heady 578, and each nominee will receive a $500 honorarium. Congratulations to the three winners!
