Swenson stories on US ag exports

David SwensonDavid Swenson, associate scientist, was interviewed for a story "'We Have Always Survived': China Tariffs Target Top Exports — And The Farmers Who Grow Them" on KCUR radio on April 5, 2018.

"Exports are very important to U.S. agriculture,” Iowa State University economist David Swenson said. “We produce significantly more than we can consume here in the United States, and farmers across the United States in all sectors of agriculture depend on exports to maintain price levels.”

Swenson was also interviewed by Matthew Patane, Cedar Rapids Gazette, about the scope of economic impact in Iowa from both rounds of Chinese trade retaliations targeting pork, ethanol and soybeans.

He was also interviewed for an April 4 All things Considered, NPR, on "U.S. Farmers Likely To Be Among Hardest Hit By Chinese Tariffs."
