Ned Zachar has been with KLS Diversified since the firm’s inception in 2008. He is a partner and portfolio manager in the corporate credit group where he has focused primarily on investment research, capital markets and portfolio management activities during his 25-year plus business career. His experience includes a broad spectrum of domestic and international capital markets including high yield, leveraged loans, growth and value equities, and distressed/special situations. 

At KLS, Zachar has a broad range of responsibilities including directing the firm’s credit research and capital markets activities across the ~$3B AUM. He is also responsible for industry coverage of the technology, telecom and industrials sectors and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. 

Zachar also worked as partner and head of high yield research at Montgomery Securities, where he helped build and co-lead the high yield bond group in New York.

He was formerly associated with Chemical/Chase Securities, Bear Stearns and Duff & Phelps. He started his career at Lind-Waldock as a commodities trader on the Firm’s institutional client desk in Chicago.

Over the course of his career, Zachar has been quoted widely in the media, including leading business publications such as the New York Times, Investor’s Business Daily, and the Wall Street Journal, and has made appearances on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and CNN. Institutional Investor has twice placed him on its All Star research team for the Media/Communications sectors. He has also testified before the US Congress regarding its work on telecommunications legislation. 

Zachar received a BS in economics in 1985 from Iowa State and an MBA in 1988 from Loyola University of Chicago. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA), and is a board member for the Metropolitan Golf Association, currently serving as secretary. 

Zachar is married, has three adult daughters with his wife Janet, and lives in Bedford, New York.

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that provides commerce solutions in the areas of ecommerce, shipping, mailing and financial services, today announced that Ned Zachar has joined the company as Vice President and will be responsible for managing the Investor Relations program. Mr. Zachar will report to Pitney Bowes Chief Financial Officer Ana Maria Chadwick. Adam David, who previously led the Investor Relations program, will remain with Pitney Bowes to lead Financial Planning and Analysis and take on several high-priority strategic projects.

In his new capacity, Mr. Zachar will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships in the investment community, while communicating the company’s business model, long-term strategy, governance and financial performance.
