2nd Seminar on Bridging the Gap between CGE and NQTMs speakersThe 2nd Seminar on Bridging the Gap between CGE and NQTMs, "Global Trade and Climate Change," will be held on Friday, June 10 2022 via Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP)/Whova. The seminar will include three speakers, Gary Lyn (Iowa State), Ishan Nath (Princeton), and Farid Farrokhi (Purdue). Chair Samuel Kortum (Yale) and discussant Maksym Chepeliev (Purdue) will discuss methodological and data challenges in each literature (CGE and NQT), and potential areas for collaboration across the CGE-NQT communities in the topic area. The discussion will also extend to broader concepts in academic literature, including parameter estimation vs. calibration, computational counterfactual equilibriums, as well as model size, fitting issues, and user implementation. Erwin Corong (Purdue) will host the session.
