David Swenson, research scientist, was interviewed Feb. 25 by Todd Magel, KCCI, on the state income tax plan that has been sent to the governor.
Swenson also presented at a League of Women Voters of Ames and Story County program, "How Precarious is the Social Safety Net when Political Winds Change" Feb. 18. The presentation was made in person at the Ames City Council Chambers and live on Facebook.
Swenson was interviewed for a March 2 KCCI story, "Reynolds signs historic Iowa tax reform into law."
“I see this as a potential warning sign that we are going to reduce the level of state public services and state public goods state Also commitment to education and state commitment to health care and other kinds of important state services and if that's the direction we are going that could have meaningful consequences for the quality of life for Iowans,” Swenson said.
