- Professor Emerita of Economics
Leigh Tesfatsion received the Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, Mpls., in 1975, with a minor in mathematics. She is Professor Emerita of Economics at Iowa State University, and an IEEE Life Senior Member. Her principal research areas include computational economics, electric power market design, and the development of completely Agent-Based Modeling (c-ABM) co-simulation platforms for the study of societally critical systems whose operations depend on strongly intertwined physical, economic, contractual, and data/signal processes.
