I am an applied microeconomist focusing on food and health economics, consumer and producer behavior, and industrial organization. I employ applied microeconometrics and experimental economics methods to answer questions relevant to economists, data analysts, and policymakers.

My current work centers on the economics of food insecurity and access, examining how food environments shape nutritional inequality across U.S. communities, and on the behavioral foundations of economic rationality, including how emotion regulation and cognitive ability influence decision-making.

I teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with courses in principles of microeconomics, introductory and intermediate econometrics, experimental economics, and cooperatives. I approach the classroom as a space for developing analytical rigor and quantitative reasoning, encouraging students to move from economic intuition to formal argument and empirical evidence.
