Alumna Damona Doye, Oklahoma State University, is one of five outstanding AAEA members to be selected by the AAEA Fellows Selection Committee to be honored as the 2017 AAEA Fellows.
Dr. Mark Lange ('79 PhD econ), who served as president and chief executive officer for the National Cotton Council from 2003 until his retirement in 2015, is the recipient of the 2016 Harry S. Baker Distinguished Service Award.

Each year, one faculty member is extended an invitation of membership to join Cardinal Key Honor Society. Cardinal Key is one of Iowa State's oldest and most prestigious honor society that accepts students and faculty who have significantly contributed to Iowa State, and embody the four core values of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.
We would invite faculty and staff to consider filling out the application. The form is set up so individuals can nominate other faculty and staff or themselves to be considered for membership.
Keri Jacobs, assistant professor, will travel to Washington, D.C. to present at an event on Feb. 17, 2017. “American-Made BioEnergy from Field to Refinery: Feedstock Logistics” will be hosted by the Council on Food, Agricultural, and Resource Economics.
Mary Mosiman, Auditor of State, will be the guest speaker at the Economics Club meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16. Mosiman, a CPA, is the first woman to hold the auditor's office in Iowa history.

David Swenson, associate scientist, and Liesl Eathington, assistant scientist conducted a study with Mack Shelley for the Iowa Association of School Boards. They analyzed how school districts used Secure an Advanced Vision for Education (SAVE) funds.
