Adriana Valcu-Lisman, postdoc, and her husband Jeff welcomed little Ana Sophia who arrived Thursday morning at 9:53 am. Ana weighs 6 lbs 9 oz and was 19-1/2 inches long. Congratulations to all!
Congratulations to Miyoung Oh, postdoc, and her husband Jiwoong Kim, who welcomed their newest family member on July 17th! Baby Joshua joins his older brother Isaac and sister Emma. All are doing well.

Another enrollment record has been set this summer, with 11,942 students attending the summer sessions. That's an increase of 306 students over last summer's previous record. The growth is in students learning online. The subset of students enrolled only in online or other distance options increased 431, up to 3,388 students this summer.

The Undergraduate Programs Office completed freshman 2-day summer orientation sessions in June. Ninety-four ag business and six economics freshmen attended.
Ron Deiter, professor, presented two invited workshops (June 29 and June 30) entitled “Dive Into Some Fun Pricing Games” for the Iowa 4-H Youth Conference held on the ISU campus.
