Fifteen Iowa college freshmen majoring in agricultural business have each been awarded $1,000 scholarships through a collaboration with Landus Cooperative and the Iowa State University (ISU) Department of Economics.

Faculty and staff considering phased retirement:
The current Board-approved Phased Retirement program will expire on June 30, 2017, unless renewed by the Board prior to expiration. To date, there has been no indication from the Board Office of plans to renew the program after June 30, 2017. Consequently, if you have been considering phased retirement, you may want to finalize your decision in the near future.
The next deadline for foreign travel grants is approaching. Applications to both CALS and LAS are due in the college offices by Jan. 5, 2017. Note that submissions to LAS require that you provide a copy of your CV as a separate PDF (CALS submissions do not require a CV). Since Joshua Rosenbloom must endorse all requests and rank them if there is more than one, please (a) alert him as soon as possible if you anticipate applying, and (b) forward your application to him no later than Dec. 20 if at all possible.

The page will feature the student and name of the paper, with a short description or abstract or a link to the paper. The class or project, and the faculty member with whom the student is working will be included.
