The retention period for unfunded proposals is 5 fiscal years after the fiscal year in which the proposal was submitted. The PI or relevant administrative unit is responsible for retaining records for unfunded proposal submissions made by the PI. OSPA is responsible for retaining records for unfunded electronic submissions made by OSPA.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 10 at First Methodist Church in Ames. A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, March 9 at the same location.

Dr. Marvin JuliusThe department is saddened by the news that Emeritus Professor Marvin Julius, 95, passed away Mon., Jan. 22, 2018. Julius started work as a county extension director in 1963 and joined the economics department faculty in 1963. He retired from Iowa State in August, 1980.

Visitation will be on Wed., Jan.31, 12:00 to 1:00 pm with services to follow at 1:00 pm at Northcrest in Ames.

Our sincere condolences go out to the Julius family.
