This year, the Agricultural Business Club at Iowa State University continued its tradition of growth, engagement, and professional development. Each month, members connected with industry leaders and faculty speakers, gaining firsthand insight into careers, challenges, and innovations across agriculture. The annual club banquet in March highlighted our accomplishments, honored outstanding members, and celebrated the strength of our community.
We expanded our learning opportunities through the Jim Knuth Educational Lectures, hosted once each semester, and through both our spring and fall industry tours, which allowed students to explore operations, network with professionals, and see classroom concepts come to life. Service remained central to our mission, with philanthropy events such as roadside clean-up, volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club of Ames, and Jean Night contributing to meaningful causes.
To build relationships and welcome new students, we hosted social and recruitment events, including dodgeball tournaments, game nights, and our homecoming tailgate. Professional development remained a priority, with events such as the annual fall golf outing, the pre–career fair mixer, an etiquette dinner, and trivia night, all designed to strengthen skills and confidence.
Overall, this year reflected who we are: a club committed to connection, leadership, service, and preparing future agricultural professionals. All of these efforts and events contributed to the club earning its second consecutive Outstanding Club Award from AAEA, a recognition that highlights the dedication of our members and the impact of our work throughout the year.
