Professor Joshua Rosenbloom was interviewed by Wallet Hub for the story "Cities Where Inflation is Rising the Most," which focuses on differing inflation rates across the United States and where inflation is currently the worst. Rosenbloom told Wallet Hub that "Several factors are driving current price inflation. These can be divided into (1) demand-side factors, and (2) supply-side factors. On the demand side, the relatively expansionary monetary policy of the Federal Reserve has helped to stimulate demand. Fiscal policy actions taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic also helped to increase consumer spending. On the supply side, the widely publicized supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic have contributed to difficulty meeting higher demand."
