Professor Chad Hart was interviewed by Brownfield Ag News for the story "Economist Sees Direct and Indirect Farmer Impacts Following Rate Hike," which focuses on the possible impact of the Federal Reserve's recent interest rate hike on farmers.
Hart told Brownfield that the interest rate increase will put upward pressure on operating loans and mortgages. “And it’s a sizable bump when you’re looking at another three-quarters of a percent jump, the third one in a row,” Hart said.
