Wendong Zhang, associate professor, co-authored a white paper on the role of agricultural collaboration in US-China Relations, "Finding Firmer Ground: The Role of Agricultural Cooperation in US-China Relations." This is commissioned by the US Heartland China Association and the Carter Center, and will be posted on their websites and be distributed via email and printed copies to legislators and stakeholders.
This is in part building on the US-China Agriculture Roundtable he helped moderate in March, and this white paper is co-authored with Dr. Minghao Li who was a postdoc at CARD working with him and Dermot Hayes and is now an assistant professor at New Mexico State University. This white paper has a foreword by Ambassador Kenneth Quinn as well as a preface by Governor Bob Holden.
