The Student Government and Election Commission are working to encourage more students campuswide to run for a Student Government position this spring semester. We encourage students to run who want to make an impact at their university. Students have the opportunity to run for a senatorial position to represent Iowa State University’s student body.
You can find important information and dates for the election cycle on the Election Commission website for more details regarding letters of intent, information sessions, and the campaigning period. Students must attend one informational session, fill out and submit a Statement of Intent Form, and meet the required amount of Outreach credits outlined in the Election Code to be placed on the election ballot. Senatorial Statement of Intent Forms are found in the Senatorial Packet, which can be downloaded from the Election Commission "How to Run" webpage Dawson has linked to. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either of us.
