A letter penned by alumnus Roger Underwood ('80 ag business) was published in the May 6 Ames Tribune with the title, "Strong Leaders Will Make Us Stronger Than Ever."
"We hear a lot about the importance of leadership. Look up any list of effective leadership books, and you will see uncountable title recommendations for the hottest must-read books. You don’t need to buy those books. Simply look around and see the incredible example of steady, measured and optimistic leadership we are witnessing from the Ames Chamber of Commerce, the city of Ames, Iowa State University, Mary Greeley Medical Center and Story County."
