Next steps following a COVID-19 positive test

Check out this helpful workflow chart for instructions on what to do when an ISU student, faculty, or staff tests positive (within the past 10 days) for COVID-19. If you learn of a case in your unit – encourage that person to self-report. Remember the three “selfs”:

  1. Self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.
  2. Self-report, confidentially, a positive test result by using this form.
  3. Self-isolate if you test positive. What’s the difference between self-isolation and quarantine? Check out the CDC definitions.
