New publication, presentation for Zhang

Dr. Wendong ZhangWendong Zhang, assistant professor, has published a new paper, “The Case for Healthy U.S.-China Agricultural Trade Relations despite Deglobalization Pressures,” at Applied Economic Perspectives and Policy. It is a Featured Article in the special COVID-19 issue.

This paper analyzes the impacts of COVID‐19 on U.S. agricultural exports to China, especially the added delays and uncertainty on China's food imports meeting the U.S.‐China phase one trade deal target.


Zhang also served as one of the speakers for a webinar organized by the North American Meat Institute discussing Chinese agricultural markets and US agricultural trade policy Oct. 15.
