ICC part of COVID small business relief coalition

Dr. Mark Edelman, Sandra BurkeMark Edelman, professor and ISU Community Vitality Center director, and Sandra Burke, senior researcher, facilitated Iowa Community Capital (ICC)'s collaboration with an emerging coalition of seven nonprofits that are developing an Iowa COVID Small Business Relief Fund Coalition to uplift the small business community throughout the state that has been harmed by the disaster. 

This coalition includes: The Director’s Council, Immigrant Entrepreneurs Summit, League of United Latin American Citizens - Iowa (LULAC Iowa), One Voice, Iowa State Extension, DREAM Iowa, and Iowa Community Capitol. As part of the efforts, Wells Fargo Foundation approved a $100,000 grant to ICC for operational support for Iowa COVID small business relief.

The Iowa Small Business Relief Fund Coalition has developed a crowd funding website to accept contributions from the public. Grant recommendations will be between $500 and $3,500 depending on documented needs.
