As you continue to work with your students who face challenges in dealing with impacts related to a range of issues this semester—from COVID to social and racial injustice— please be aware that the team at Student Health and Wellness have expanded their existing services, including adding telehealth, to support students. So far this academic year, 3058 appointments have been requested serving 757 students.
- Student Counseling Services continues to offer a full range of services using our stepped care approach to services including individual, group, workshop, self-help, let’s talk, and care management services.
- Services are highly accessible and SCS offers same day access to students wanting to start services. Crisis services are also offered same day.
- Ongoing care is provided through telehealth and SCS offers telehealth rooms at the center and on campus to support students accessing care.
- To maintain full operations and to maximize the health and safety of our students and staff SCS is offering limited in person services to crisis situations only.
- Mental health services are also available at the Thielen Student Health Center (TSHC), specifically consultation with a primary provider or a psychiatric provider where medication support can be discussed. Appointments are available in person or via telehealth, depending on the student’s preference.
