CVC assisted venture receives DOE grant for net zero aviation biofuel

Earth Energy Renewables (EER) has been approved for a $4 million Department of Energy project collaboration with NREL, World Energy, Southwest Airlines, and Boeing to produce net zero biobased jet fuel for a first ever demonstration flight using the sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).

EER converts grain processing byproducts and wastes to a variety of products. EER is a Texas based company that presented at Ames Seed Capital Annual Showcase and Iowa Bio Partnering for Growth Showcase, and previously received technical assistance supported by USDA and EDA grants to Iowa Microloan that were facilitated by ISU Community Vitality Center and Professor Mark Edelman.
