CELT is hosting a series of 1/2 day workshops spread across two days (Feb. 20-21, 2020) related to project-based learning AND how this approach can be applied to courses exploring social entrepreneurial themes. See attached flyer. It will be the first official event in the Student Innovation Center.
Paula Quinn from Worcester Polytechnic Institute's (WPI) Center for Project-Based Learning will lead three separate workshops: one session is for instructors new to PBL, one is for experienced PBL instructors, and one is related to WPI's Great Problems Seminar (https://www.wpi.edu/academics/undergraduate/great-problems-seminar). If you aren't familiar with WPI, they switched their entire collegiate curriculum to project-based learning nearly 40 years ago and are arguable one of the nation's leading experts in this approach. They have an impressive range of sciences courses that have been taught exclusively with PBL for a long time.
