Description: Travel to beautiful Seattle, WA to explore the history, circumstances, successes and challenges of cooperative businesses and their members. This course brings to life the economic rationale for cooperation, cooperative principles, the role of co-ops in rural development and the local economy, unique supply-chain factors co-ops address, co-op member roles and benefits, and issues in cooperative capitalization, finance, and governance.
