Dermot Hayes, professor, was interviewed in an Oct. 31 story in the Western Producer that reports "International Energy Agency says global production will increase to 130 billion liters by 2024 from 110 billion this year."
“It would have a modest but significant impact on prices,” said Dermot Hayes, Pioneer chair in agribusiness at Iowa State University. “We’re closing facilities here. At this moment it’s hard to imagine an expansion in production given that we’re shutting down facilities,” he said.
