The Office of the Vice President for Research has invited The Conversation to campus on October 15th and 16th. The Conversation is part of a global network of newsrooms committed to unlocking the knowledge of leading scholars across academia and sharing that information with the general public. ISU is a partner institution, granting our researchers the opportunity to write articles on topics relating to their fields that may be read by thousands worldwide. Since entering into this partnership, The Conversation has published ~30 articles developed by Iowa State researchers that have yielded more than 780,000 reads around the world.
CALS is looking for 8 to 10 communications-savvy faculty willing to participate in a workshop with editors from The Conversation when they come to campus in October. This will be an opportunity to hone communication skills and develop an article that highlights work at Iowa State — and a phenomenal distribution for articles in a network that ensures nationwide attention.
We'd like to hear from interested faculty willing to participate by Wednesday, Sept. 18.
