Undergrads win Landus scholarships

2018 Landus Scholarship winnersLandus Cooperative, in collaboration with Iowa State University’s (ISU) Department of Economics in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, recently awarded fifteen $1,000 scholarships to freshman majoring in agricultural business.

The recipients of this year’s scholarships are: Julie Anderson, Grand Rapids, MN; Brooke Beinhart, Indianola, IA; Jake Berns, Lohrville, IA; Colbie Carl, Walnut, IL; Spencer Cook, Winthrop, IA; Natalie Eick, Plainfield, IA; Melody Hawkins, Freeport, MI; Marissa Lawry, Westfield, IN; Nathan Parchert, Illinois City, IL; Tiffany Poen, Lake City, IA; Rosalie Ruetz, New Brighton, MN; Joseph Schavey, Winnebago, MN; Matthew Strobel, Pemberton, MN; Janelle Vande Vorde, Aurora, IA; Justin Wessel, Garber, IA.

These scholarships are awarded to freshmen majoring in agricultural business who have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and graduated in the top 25% of their high school class. Recipients demonstrate agriculture leadership through involvement in agriculture organizations.
