A recent department Ph.D. graduate, Dr. Yu Jin, has died of cancer. He received his Ph.D. from Iowa State in economics in 2012; David Frankel was his major professor.
After graduation, he became associate professor and department chair, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He and Wally Huffman published two recent papers together. His wife, Jing Dae, who has a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from ISU, is an associate professor at Nottingham University Business School China. Dr. Jin will be greatly missed.
