“Farmers are concerned with how long low prices will last,” Alejandro Plastina, assistant professor and Extension economist with Iowa State University, said in a university news release. “Is there something on the horizon with upward potential for farm income? Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case.”
Plastina was also interviewed, along with Wendong Zhang, in a Nov. 16th Wallaces Farmer article "Age of Iowa farmland owners continues to rise."
And was also interviewed for a Nov. 17th High Plains/Midwest Ag Journal article "New tool helps farmers make cover crop decisions."
and an Oct. 29 story in the Successful Farming story "The Economics of Cover Crops."
