Ebby Luvaga, senior lecturer, has been in Nigeria since July 11, participating in a faculty exchange visit in Nigeria through the Mandela Washington Fellowship, the flagship program of the Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI). YALI empowers young African leaders through academic coursework, leadership training, mentoring, networking, professional opportunities, and local community engagement.
As part of the visit she spoke to children at the Zoe School in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, about the importance of youth engagement and participation in agriculture, and gave examples of ag-related fields and careers. Luvaga will be in Nigeria until July 22nd.
