Gabriel Lade, assistant professor, was a panelist at the 23rd Annual National Ethanol Conference Feb. 13, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas. NEC is the largest annual conference of U.S. ethanol producers, with nearly 1000 attendees.
Lade's presentation "RINs: An Economic Perspective" was part of a panel on RINs markets with Dr. James Stock, Harold Hitchings Burbank Professor of Political Economy, Faculty of Arts and Sciences and member of the faculty at the Harvard Kennedy School. Renewable identification numbers (RINs) are credits used for compliance, and are the “currency” of the Renewable Fuel Standard program.
