Dermot Hayes, professor, was interviewed for an Oct. 1 Quad-City Times article "NAFTA replacement keeps pork tariffs in place."
Hayes said the USMCA — along with news last week that the White House plans to open talks with Japan on a free-trade agreement, and its signing of a new agreement with South Korea — could signal a shift in U.S. trade policy toward resolving old disputes.
