AAEA meeting recognitions

The 2017 Agricultural & Applied Economics Association (AAEA) Annual Meeting in Chicago, July 30-Aug. 1 resulted in honors bestowed upon several Economics Department alumni.

The Agricultural Finance and Management Section of the AAEA presented its Award for Publication of Lasting Impact to the textbook Farm Management, authored by Ronald Kay (PhD '71 ag economics) of Texas A&M University, William Edwards (PhD '79 ag economics) of Iowa State University, and Patricia Duffy of Auburn University.

Farm Management was originally published in 1981 and is now in its 8th edition.

Damona Doye (PhD '86 ag bus), Regents Professor of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University, was named a Fellow of the AAEA. Dr. Doye also received the Distinguished Extension/Outreach Program Award for individuals with ten or more years' experience.
