Zhang speaks on Iowa farmland values

Dr. Wendong ZhangWendong Zhang, assistant professor and  farm management specialist, spoke with Von Ketelsen from KCIM 1380 AM and KICK 106.7 FM about Iowa farmland value trends and the upcoming press conference on Dec. 13, 2016.

The press conference will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 13 to announce the results of the 2016 Iowa Land Value Survey conducted by the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development (CARD) at Iowa State University and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. This year’s conference will take place in the Horton Room of the ISU Alumni Center, located on the ISU campus in Ames.

Zhang will head the news conference and announce the 2016 findings. For those who can’t attend the conference, a livestream will be available on YouTube. During the livestream you may submit questions to CARD's Twitter account, @CARD_ISU, using the hashtag #ISUlandvalue. Questions will be addressed following Dr. Zhang’s presentation, and he will make himself available to reporters for follow-up questions or one-on-one interviews immediately following the presentation. The land value trends at the county, district, and state level since 1950 are available at the new, interactive Iowa Farmland Value Portal.
