NBER Summer Institute Workshop: Development Economics July 26-27, 2021
David Atkin, Fred Finan, Andrew Foster, Rema Hanna, Seema Jayachandran, Mushfiq Mobarak, and Shing-Yi Wang, Co-organizers
The Development Economics program will meet virtually as part of the NBER's Summer Institute on Monday July 26 and Tuesday July 27, 2021. The program will likely be about 4.5 hours each day starting late morning ET.
We are writing to invite you to submit your research for consideration for the program. All research papers in development, broadly defined, will be considered. Please submit your work by 11:59 pm PDT on April 5, 2021 at http://www.nber.org/confsubmit/backend/cfp?id=SI21DEV. Only complete papers will be considered. Important note: We will not consider papers that provide a URL rather than an uploaded pdf, even though the submission portal allows that option. You may submit to up to two SI workshops. When submitting to two workshops, please use the text box to indicate which presentation venue is your first choice, and also provide a brief (less than 500 character) explanation of why the paper is well suited to multiple workshops.
We plan to have about seven papers presented, plus a "lightning round" of shorter talks. We are also delighted to announce that Debraj Ray will give a Master
Lecture as part of the program.
