Alexander Sammon, Mother Jones, for a story on the Dakota Access pipeline controversy in Iowa, he had questions on Swenson's research that critiqued the economic impact study done on that project.

Chris Doering, Des Moines Register, who had questions about non-conventional (for Iowa) farming like fruits and vegetable production. Swenson shared his research demonstrating that successful farmers in this category are more profitable located close to larger metropolitan areas.
