Dr. Brent Kreider, Dr. Alex ZhylyevskyyBrent Kreider, professor, and Oleksandr Zhylyevskyy, associate professor, have won an LAS seed grant to investigate causal effects of joint participation in SNAP and WIC on mental health and food security.

The project will develop new econometric methods to evaluate treatment effects using a multinomial, partially-ordered treatment variable that is mismeasured in the data. Grant funding will enable empirical analysis of restricted data in the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) available at the Central Plains RDC in Lincoln, NE.
