Keri Jacobs, assistant professor, gave a presentation at the Cooperative Network’s Federal Dairy Issues Forum, April 10, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Her presentation discussed the recent tax changes that will impact agricultural cooperatives and their members.
She is also collaborating with Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative and the Iowa Institute for Cooperatives to develop a module on cooperative businesses for community college curricula in Iowa. On March 28, she and Jim Gossett, CEO of Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative, presented to faculty at DMACC’s Carroll, Iowa, campus to introduce the module and gain feedback to improve it.
