Dr. Keri JacobsKeri Jacobs, assistant professor, will travel to Washington, D.C. to present at an event on Feb. 17, 2017.  “American-Made BioEnergy from Field to Refinery: Feedstock Logistics” will be hosted by the Council on Food, Agricultural, and Resource Economics.

The event will be held from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at the National Press Club's Holeman Lounge.  It is a summary of activities and perspectives related to developing and improving biofuel feedstock supply chains and features presenters from across the nation.

“The CFARE event will showcase work underway across the nation to address commercial-scale bioenergy feasibility, both the challenges and successes, from producer to processor,” said Jacobs.  “My presentation will focus on conveying what our research suggests are viable strategies for addressing collection efficiency and pricing to improve the viability of commercial-scale cellulosic biomass for biofuels markets.”
