David Hennessy and Hongli Feng have accepted faculty positions with the department, beginning August 2021.
From Joshua Rosenbloom: I want to thank everyone in the department for their assistance in this lengthy recruitment process. And I extend special thanks to the recruiting committee members – John Crespi (chair), Brent Kreider, Wendong Zhang, Dermot Hayes, and Sue Lamont (outside member) – for their efforts last summer and fall in conducting the senior faculty search that lead to David’s recruitment.
In this period of budgetary pressure (even before the recent COVID-19 related disruptions) Dean Robison’s unwavering support for this search is a tangible reflection of his investment in the continued excellence of this department.
For a variety of logistical and family reasons, David and Hongli will be joining us in August of 2021, so it will be a little while before we receive the full benefits of their rejoining the department.
