Heady Hall office hours for Thanksgiving, winter session

The University has implemented these additional paid holidays on Monday, Nov. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 1. Normal holiday procedures will be followed on Nov. 26, 27, 30, and Dec. 1.

Heady Hall will be considered locked but occupied during this extended period. If you plan to work during this time, you will be able to enter the building with your access card. When the building is locked there will be no mail service or vending service, and no package deliveries. 
As a reminder:

  • Please make sure lights are off, heat is turned down, and windows are closed in your offices when not occupied. 
  • Unplug any unnecessary items such as hot pots, coffee pots, and microwaves.
  • Please set voicemail and email to let customers and contacts know of your availability or alternate contact information, if needed.

In case of emergency during this period, contact the Department of Public Safety at 515-294-4428, or in a true emergency dial 911.


Winter Session 2020

Heady Hall will be locked evenings and weekends during winter break. We will have limited office hours for the winter session period and no student help will be available during this time. For assistance please call 515-294-6740 or send an email to econadmin@iastate.edu and you will get a reply as soon as possible.

The main office will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays 7:30AM-4PM only. The mail room and supply room will be unlocked during these business hours. If you need alternative access please call 515-294-6740 or send an email to econadmin@iastate.edu to schedule a time. Since we have limited staff help, if you have any printing needs that are urgent, printing services will be available and can help assist you with your printing needs. https://www.print.iastate.edu/

The week between Christmas and New Year (Dec. 24, 2020 through Jan. 3, 2020) – the main office will be closed. Heady Hall will be considered locked but occupied during this extended period.  If you plan to work during this time, you will be able to enter the building with your access card.
