Hart, Plastina promoted

Congratulations to two faculty members who have been promoted effective the 2020-21 academic year!

Dr. Chad HartIowa State University has promoted Chad Hart from associate to full professor.

After receiving his Ph.D. from Iowa State University in 1999, Hart served in several positions with the university, starting with postdoctoral research associate, associate scientist, and scientist with CARD, under director Bruce Babcock; then assistant professor and associate professor with the department/extension and outreach, serving as crop markets specialist for the department.

 

Dr. Alejandro PlastinaAlejandro Plastina has been awarded tenure and promotion to associate professor.

Plastina earned his Ph.D. in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2007. He has been a member of the economics department as assistant professor since 2014, after serving in positions including research assistant, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; senior economist and economist, International Cotton Advisory Committee. Washington, DC.; and adjunct assistant professor, Clemson University.
