Based on the overwhelmingly positive feedback received on the Monday-Thursday finals week schedule implemented spring semester 2018, finals week this fall semester will also be Monday-Thursday. In parallel with the shortened finals week, final grade submissions will be due to the Registrar on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. (As a note, last fall when finals went through Friday noon, the deadline was also the following Tuesday at 2:15 p.m.)
This timeframe will allow college student services staff adequate time to work with students who are facing academic challenges, registration changes (i.e. repeating failed classes, pre-req management, etc), new tuition calculations, and financial aid adjustments. Moving forward our standard practice will follow this pattern; provided that we continue to have no finals scheduled for Friday, grades will be due the Tuesday afternoon after finals week.
