The Sadie Collective will host the fourth annual Sadie T.M. Alexander Conference for Economics and Related Fields (SACE) Feb. 17-19, 2022, in a hybrid format. The overarching theme of SACE 2022 will be "Upholding the Standard: Cultivating Economic Shifts Through Accountability and Community."

Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, the fourth annual 2022 Sadie Collective Research Reception sponsored by the Brookings Institution featuring five hand-picked Black women researchers and Career Fair with 50 companies recruiting positions across economics, finance, public policy, and data science,

Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, alongside the Keynote Address, we will be hosting a variety of panels, covering a spread of topics in economics and related fields, as well as skills-building workshops, and

Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, we will be honoring Dr. Sadie T.M. Alexander’s Legacy, consisting of more panels and workshops with esteemed professionals, and the annual Awards Night Celebration, celebrating Black women in the field.

This series of events, hosted over Black History Month, will convene a wide range of attendees, from undergraduate students to prominent Black women across economics, business, technology, healthcare, and policy. The conference will feature exciting speakers such as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy Joelle Gamble, International Monetary Fund Economist Dr. Sandile Hlatshwayo, Founder and Lead Consultant for PopWorks Africa Stephanie Kimou, Associate Economist at RAND Corporation Jhacova Williams, Founder of Axle Impact Studio Deloris "Dela" Wilson, and Assistant Professor of Economics at Barnard College Belinda Archibong, among others.
