Description: The goal of this two hour workshop is to help you gain a basic understanding of ableism, disableism, access, and accommodations.    Through case studies, examples, and discussion, you will leave with a deeper understanding of how forces of ableism and disableism impact our campus students, staff, and faculty.  You will also learn about policies on campus pertaining to persons with disabilities.  If you need an accommodation to participate in the Cultural Competence Lunch and Learn Series, please contact Theressa Cooper at tncooper@iastate.edu
