Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Candidate Debate

Description: Sustainable Agriculture Graduate Program colloquium series
The Sustainable Agriculture Graduate Program will host candidates for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture in advance of the upcoming November 6 elections. Participants include Democratic candidate Tim Gannon and Libertarian candidate Rick Stewart. The debate will be moderated by Neil Hamilton, director of the Drake University Agricultural Law Center. The candidates will engage in a debate utilizing questions submitted by the public - audience members will have a chance to submit questions in advance as well as the day of the debate. A meet-and-greet with the candidates will follow the debate - refreshments will be provided.
This event is open to all members of the public.
Question Submission: If you would like to submit a question for the upcoming debate please email Kristine Lang (kneu@iastate.edu) by 5:00 p.m. on September 30. Submissions should include: your question, name, and town of residence within Iowa. Please note: submission of your question does not guarantee it will be used in the debate, although we will make every effort to use as many of the questions as possible.
