Spaces are still available for the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession's 5th Annual Mentoring Breakfasts for Junior Faculty to be held at the 2017 AEA/ASSA Meetings in Chicago.
At these informal meet and greet events, senior economists (predominately senior women) will be on hand to provide mentoring and networking opportunities. Senior economists who have already committed to attend one or both breakfasts represent a wide variety of institutions including, but not limited to, Agnes Scott, BU, Duke, Emory, NY Fed, SF Fed, Harvard, George Mason, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, NSF, Princeton, Texas, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UCSB, UPF, Virginia, Wesleyan, Williams, Vanderbilt, and Yale. Junior economists are invited to drop in with questions on topics such as publishing, research, teaching, grant writing, networking, job search, career paths, work-life balance and the tenure process. Rotation of mentees throughout the event is encouraged so that they may have the opportunity to connect with the greatest number of mentors. A continental breakfast will be provided.
CSWEP will host two sessions. To register, click the link for the session you would like to attend and follow the Eventbrite.com registration prompts.
