Ag bus junior James Chism has been named a 2021 Young Leader Scholarship Program recipient by the Mid America CropLife Association.
Chism is one of eleven Land Grant University students selected to participated in the MCAA 2021 Young Leader Scholarship Program.
All the participating students’ educational focus is agriculture, and each has secured a summer internship (2021) related to agriculture, preferably within the crop protection industry. Chism, who is from Huxley, Iowa, will intern with Corteva AgriScience. After completing their summer internships, the scholarship recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship to assist with their tuition expenses.
The selected recipients will attend the MACA Annual Meeting Sept. 7-9, 2021, to speak about their internship experience and participate in the meeting.
